Electronic Gamesheets in OMHA Playdowns
Submitted By Cox, Tom on Tuesday, February 5, 2019
OMHA has advised that they been having some issues with game sheets in OMHA playoff preliminary rounds which is causing some unnecessary work behind the scenes.

We have been asked to emphasize the importance of taking the time to fill out the electronic game sheet properly.

It is the responsibility of all game Officials to review and ensure the correctness of the game sheet before signing.

To date there have been a number of errors occurring on the electronic sheet that are listed below:

1.      Officials position in the game are not correct> Referee vs Linesman> 2 Official system should read Referee/Referee> 3 Official system should read Referee/Linesman/Linesman> 4 Official system should read Referee/Referee/Linesman/Linesman.

2.      No Officials card number.

3.      Wrong card number.

4.      Penalties not being recorded properly ie: CFB on line one with no accompanying GM50 on the next line. Fighting major with no GM30 on the next line or GM31 missing for 2nd fight in the stoppage.

5.      No penalty code.

6.      Wrong penalty codes.

*All penalty codes are available on the iPad.

**Some outside centre’s coming in to play Shamrock League teams are not using the electronic game sheets. Game Sheets Inc. has given them access to the electronic game sheet for rosters prior the game. The host Shamrock League team manager will assist them with the proper handling of the game sheet for rosters etc. These teams will still need to bring copies of their respective rosters and be ready to present them if an issue arises.

Match penalty procedure has not changed from previous years.

If there is a Match penalty with the electronic games sheet, fill out the game sheet accordingly with the proper MP codes and make sure to describe the situation with detail in the notes spelling the name of the player in question if it is using the recorded message. Immediately after the game, please call the OMHA Regional Director and notify them of the Match Penalty.

In the meantime, you will need to go to the OMHA web site at www.omha.net (Resources tab>look for the MP report) and print off a Match penalty report and fill it out and send it to the OMHA Regional Director within 24 hours of the incident.

Please make copies of the report, The OMHA Regional Director may need to have a hearing regarding the MP> and you will need to the notes to refresh your memory of the incident in question and reference the MP report and game sheet.
